Shot Examiner

Field Readiness

Field Readiness is the record of the decisions you have already made, on a rifle or a compound bow. A shot clock starts when the conditions appear and stops when you commit. A faster time raises Decision time, because conditions change. The score shows which part of the shot you can call, and which part still costs you the impact.

Shot Examiner tracks performance by skill area for a rifle or a compound bow, and builds training around the places you need it most. The 0:36 on this card is one committed call, and that time is the Decision time score of 88. An immediate call scores 100. Three minutes is the slow floor at 40, so a careful solve still counts. Time after you commit does not. Bow distance is scored through 30 yards, 30–50, 50–70, and beyond 70, so an archery shot is not filed with a rifle’s longer bands.
