A training aid

Shot Examiner asks you to solve a shot and then explains the result. It does not fire a live round and it does not release an arrow. Targets in training are paper and steel.

Rifle solutions are point-mass estimates from the velocity, ballistic coefficient, zero, and atmosphere you enter. They omit Coriolis and spin drift. Arrow solutions use the same time step with drag from speed, weight, diameter, and point type. A wrong velocity, ballistic coefficient, or arrow speed produces a wrong answer. Confirm a solution against a live zero or a confirmed sight mark before you rely on it.

You are responsible for a safe and lawful shot. You assume the risk of relying on a solution at the range, in the field, or on a course. Quote Rocket LLC is not liable for injury, death, or property damage that comes from that use.

Catalog

Catalog rifles, optics, ammunition, bows, sights, and arrows use manufacturer-advertised specifications as a starting point. They are not an endorsement, and they are not a measurement of your rifle or your bow. IBO speed is the advertised speed at 70 pounds, 30 inches of draw, and a 350-grain arrow. The speed in the app is scaled to the draw and the arrow you enter. Confirm it with your own bow.

License

Quote Rocket LLC grants you a personal license to use the app. The curriculum, the training pictures, and the catalog as presented in the app belong to Quote Rocket LLC. Pro features stay available while the subscription is active. The website describes the product. It does not sell digital training content.

Pro

Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold by Apple inside the iOS app. Annual is $29.99 and monthly is $2.99, unless the App Store price in your region differs. There is no free trial.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

Canceling the subscription does not delete the account. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription. We may end an account that breaks these terms. Ending the account does not refund a current Apple period.

Accounts, names, and friends

A free account keeps one rifle and one bow. A display name and a posted score can appear on the public leaderboard. A shared shot goes to an accepted friend and includes the scenario, the gear, and the holds.

Do not use a display name, a friend request, or a shared shot to harass someone, to impersonate someone, or to post something unlawful. Do not manipulate a score. We may remove a display name, a score, a friendship, or a shared shot. To report one, write to privacy@shotexaminer.com.

Gear you submit

You are responsible for the figures in a gear submission. The submission is not confidential. We may decline it, or we may add accepted specifications to the catalog. The email is kept so the submission can be reviewed. Deleting an app account does not delete a website submission.

Age

You must be at least 13 to use Shot Examiner. You are also responsible for meeting the age required to handle a rifle or a bow where you are.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top is the current version. Continuing to use the app or the site after that date changes means you accept the update.
